Konoba Alla Beccaccia

Alla Beccaccia is a must-visit for any devoted carnivore who visits Pula, especially if you like wild game. At Alla Beccaccia all the meat is prepared exclusively either on a barbecue or under a čripnja (peka in Dalmatia) covered with live coals which gives it delicious smoky flavours. The owner is a passionate hunter so it is reasonable to expect that the game served will be fresh and local, especially if you come in the hunting season.

One additional thing worth praising is the fact that he takes great care to ensure that even the simplest foodstuffs, the bread, house wine, olive oil, fried potatoes, green salad and vegetables are right; wherever possible they are homemade or local products, and they’re all prepared with great precision. Don’t miss their fuži or pljukanci pasta or gnocchi with wild boar or venison goulash.
