This high-end boutique hotel and restaurant is definitely for special occasions only, unless you’re loaded with money. But only stopping here and having a coffee on the terrace surrounded with nature and magnificent view is a great experience. Mind you, dining experience is worth every penny.

The restaurant’s reputation lies in the hands of Zdravko Tomšić, one of the best and most experienced Croatian chefs, a big professional and a very modest guy who doesn’t like to be in the spotlight. But his dishes do! They are always creative and precise, but never neglecting the purity and simplicity of the original taste. (To test this, try the legendary chestnut soup with truffles).

Draga di Lovrana is floating somewhere between the sea and the continental Istria, between Kvarner Bay and Mount Učka. Which means there is abundance of high-quality ingredients from both worlds – fresh seafood, forest fruits, truffles, asparagus, first-rate meat, chestnuts – and the menu is based on uniting them.
