Štrudla

Štrudla je hrvatski naziv strudela, klasičnog srednjeeuropskog deserta, što je naše kulinarsko naslijeđe iz dana Austrougarskog Carstva. Izuzetno popularna u kontinentalnoj Hrvatskoj, jedan od najučestalijih deserata u tradicionalnim restoranima. Obično se pravi od sira, jabuka ili višnji, ljeti katkada od marelica, ali mogu se pronaći i zanimljive lokalne inačice, poput štrudli u Gorskome Kotaru i Lici, gdje se koristi šumsko voće.

Štrudla is Croatian for strudel, classic Central European dessert, our culinary heritage from the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Immensely popular in continental Croatia, one of the most common desserts in traditional restaurants. Usually it’s made of cheese, apples or sour cherries, sometimes apricots in summer, but you can also find some interesting local varieties, like strudels in Gorski kotar and Lika, where they use wild berries.
