Stari Grad 02

Stari Grad 02 is not a fancy place with highly sophisticated and innovative dishes and a vast choice of wines. It is a decent fish and seafood restaurant, one of the few in Pula with moderate prices and open throughout the year. Waiters are very friendly, fun and attentive, the atmosphere is informal and relaxed so you feel like at home. Here the emphasis is not only on tourists but also on locals that visit this restaurant even out of high season.

Also, here is the Place to try the Adriatic squids. They are of much better taste than the ones imported from Asia, cost twice as much, and are usually smuggled as genuine ones in many tourist trap eateries in Croatia. Be aware that the squid season lasts only from November to the end of January so it is hard to get them if you visit Istria during high season in summer.
