I met Goran Vrabec for the fist time at Jelena Iva Nikolić's Tavan in Zagreb on a crazy meat and wine session organized by Enogastrobrutal who is in the ToC team too. There I was able to try his hot condiments for the first time, all made from many different varieties of hot chillies that are all grown by himself.
I was crazy enough to try the hottest one marked by five chillies. Yes, it was painful and my eyes almost exploded :) But at the same time it felt like some out-of-body experience and that is how I got addicted to these cute dangerous bottles.
Then I met this enthusiastic guy two weeks ago on Pasta festival in Žminj and bought 5 different condiments. This time I was clever enough to stop at hotness intensity of 3 chilies out of 5. Talking with him was very fruitful as I realized the mildest one (hotness 1/5) aromatized with orange will go greatly with seashell buzara or even some stronger flavored Adriatic fish.
After you try Volim Ljuto's condiments you'll never go back to the industrial, mass produced ones (you know the name of the most famous one). Go Goran, go!
