Karlo is a freak. And he gladly admits that. Nothing is simple or slow around him. He just has that specific nerve that doesn’t allow him to sit still. He is constantly in search of something, whether it’s a great new wine or a perfect ingredient for his kitchen. He says he accepts no compromise. Especially when it’s about the ingredients, which are in the center of the chef’s attention. He feels that all interventions should remain minimal and you don’t play with main thing on the plate, but rather with its “entourage”.
This is why they will serve you some really special stuff born & bred in various parts of Zagreb surroundings, or at least Croatia (such as fish or seafood), in interesting combinations. All dishes are very aesthetic, as you can see in the pictures below. Since Karlo is a sommelier, we don’t need to emphasize the wine list is quite extensive. Almost all of the wines are poured by the glass. The value for money both for the food and the wine is not brilliant but surely there is exclusive clientele in Zagreb who needs posh places like this one.
